(Untitled)

What a fool
I am
for
your
heart of gold.
What a cynic
I am
for
your
heart feels cold.
How lonely
I am
for this mine
is
fool's gold

1st poem : Rat.

Ode to a Human

Acrid stench of eggs
a beautiful green
crumbling ort of
feasts unseen
slime-slippery yellow black peels
all lie before me.
I embark on an odyssey
across kitchen sink. I am the
worm tailed whiskered
beast
to devour that is unpalatable
upon your islands
of plates
sounding
clink!
clink!

And here through
the magnificent
magnifying glass of
a rat's beaded eye
I see you cry,
I see you cry.

Tenebrous webbed
Shadows of
your Mind
Crawling from the Holes
of your Walls
Here am I.
Lest sorrows fade
to a dream decayed
Rat's affection
to smooth
humanity's
cracked reflection
Lean your sorrows
upon me,
O lonely
 companion.

Alas! I do see,
most delectable
cream-yellow
bit of cheese
exalted atop
shiny metal pedestal
token of
friendship
joyously accepted.

What a devil
is a friend
in grief's disguise

Here I lie.
Here I die.
Yet you lied.
